Role Overview
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering Technology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Years of Experience
Minimum 2–3 years (5 years preferred), ideally in industrial, petrochemical, oilfield, water treatment, or chemical manufacturing laboratories.

Skills & Prior Experience
- Laboratory instrumentation: pH meter, conductivity meter, FTIR, viscometer, density meter.
- Chemical handling and MSDS interpretation.
- Completed ISO 17025 awareness training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical report writing.
- Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and safe laboratory practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing on raw materials, finished products, and customer samples.
- Conduct analytical testing according to ASTM, IP, ISO, and in-house company test methods.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Prepare laboratory reagents, standards, and test solutions.
- Record, review, and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Investigate out-of-specification results and assist in troubleshooting product quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures, environmental regulations, and quality management systems.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, chemicals, glassware, and consumables.
- Support method development, validation, and laboratory capability expansion.
- Assist with internal audits, equipment calibration schedules, and ISO 17025 quality documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Technical Service, Procurement, and Sales on testing requirements.
- Maintain laboratory supplies and gather quotations for calibration, maintenance, and supply.
